Jacob Johnson
Jacob Johnson brings local roots and a passion for football to his role as assistant coach for the South Kitsap football program. A South Kitsap High School alumnus, Johnson excelled both academically and athletically during his time as a student-athlete, maintaining a 3.6 GPA while serving as lead captain of the varsity football team in his senior year.
Johnson's football career continued at the collegiate level, where he played for Linfield University. As a member of the Linfield squad, he contributed to the team's success, including a run to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals. This experience at the collegiate level has enhanced his understanding of the game and his ability to mentor young athletes.
Committed to giving back to his community, Johnson has been involved with the South Kitsap football program in various capacities since 2020. He served as a volunteer coach for SKHS during the summers of 2020 and 2021, before taking on the role of assistant coach for the 2022 season.
Beyond his coaching duties, Johnson has demonstrated leadership and work ethic in various roles, including as a manager at Defy Silverdale and currently as a Rigger Apprentice at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He has also engaged in community service, leading building projects in Tijuana, Mexico with Amor Ministries.
Johnson's dedication to football and youth development, combined with his strong ties to the South Kitsap community, make him a valuable asset to the coaching staff. He continues to focus on fostering the growth and success of student-athletes both on and off the field at South Kitsap High School.
